Guadalajara looks nice, wide open spaces and clean air. SZ gone!? That's too bad. So you say it's now in Mahadahonda. Haven't ever been there on a bike. It's going to be a lot more difficult for me to go by there now.
Yeah, we´ll have to find out whats the most convinient center for us. Anyway, going there by bicycle is not a problem -I hope- since we also have the option of SZ Isla Azul in Getafe, which is near a section of the Anillo Verde Sur. So just a question of seeing how far/convinient are the new SZ Majadahonda facilities compared to those in Getafe. Cheers!
Oohh it's a beauty post I think that this post can help you to improve your English! I not speak English well, but I will learn a bit in this post! Good night and ride forever!
Hi biker-man, you have a good name for this thread in English. What kind of riding are you into? Interaptor, the other Sport Zone sound a bit out of the way, but if you know where they are maybe we can go there sometime.
I'm riding into XC and Enduro...but I love all ¿type of riding? PD: If I write into question marks, I'm not know if it's right
I'm also into XC and enduro. In fact, I've been using my XC bike for enduro stuff. Here's a foto from a ride today in El Pardo. Ver el archivo adjunto 2809908
Hi biker-man! As you see and it´s evident not form the last photo but from everything in Chainring´s mind, he actually tends to be more in the air than on the ground!, His favorite song ever is Fly me to the Moon, by Frank Sinatra; favorite historical figures the Wright brothers and Leonardo Da Vinci, most visited place Barajas Airport…
Actually you're not too far off the mark. When I was a kid my dream was to be a pilot, and to this day I LOVE flying and looking out the window. Also when I was a kid my father and I sometimes used to go to the airport just to look at planes. Today I don't fly Cessnas, but mountain bikes :-D
Hello friends! I wasn´t been writing here during a long time because normaly I finish my work quite tyred writing in english. I have been reading this post during this time , for other part I´d like Chainring picture flying with his XC bike it´s incredible, I can´t ride like him with my bike. I´m seeing every time more people riding with all mountain or enduro in my area. On this moments I´m changing to the dark side with my 120mm bike for the moment it´s enought (ther aren´t enought money to change) but on this moments I prefer practice mountain biking with less efforts and enjoy more. Cheers
Good to hear from you Armentano! Actually I've noticed myself that more and more people seem to be getting into enduro/all mountain. For example, here in the forum in the Categories ("modalidades") section, the enduro section normally has the most people participating. Also, when I go to the Ferrol area in August, everybody seems to have an enduro bike.
Thanks Chainring! Now every saturday I´m riding with some people who only practice enduro or all mountain, some times we ride for tracks which are too complicated for me and then it´s when I start to walk jejeje But I enjoy because for me it´s enought to see my limits on a bike. There are some riders who have a very good control whith his bike but normally every saturday they have some falls,I prefer don´t assume this risk if I tell the truth I don´t remember exactly the last time I had one. This weekend it´s posible we go to Sierra Espuña I´m not sure on this moment but if I will made some pictures I will try to put here.
Hi fellas, Hi Armentano & Chainring... I am in Karlsruhe, Germany and yes! so many biking styles all over the world that it is dificult to accurately frame they down. I will take some pictures to let you know what´s the common bike around here... as you may presume its far from enduro, XC or whatwever style as you talked over here. More to come. Have a nice (biking if possible) day. Cheers!
Hi Interaptor If you can post here some pictures about mountain biking in Karlsruhe I will be waiting here, I would like to know how it is there. I think I have a very different idea from this area for the weather but I have a friend who is working there and tell me it´s different, obviously for the weather but he enjoy more because it´s very different than here in Alicante, I supose it´s because here we are making always the same tracks or because it´s too dry and nothing in green. And who know with this crisis it´s posible in the future I´m there:rasca
Interaptor, seems you've been traveling a lot lately. Hope you're enjoying your stay in Germany. Looking forward to any pictures you send. Likewise Armentano. You know what they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. By the way, I was riding in El Pardo today and hurt myself a bit: fell down and hit my calf pretty hard. I guess the truth is mountain biking can be dangerous, but in my case I'm thinking of changing my nick to Captain Crash Anyway, went to the doctor's and happily it's nothing serious: no broken bones or injured tendons, just a muscle injury. So now looks like I'm going to be sidelined for a couple of days :-( Drag. But could be worse. Much worse.
Be carefull chainring! This is the problem when you practice enduro, each time you want something more complicated and sudenly it´s when arrive the moment and you are kissing the floor. In this case you had got good luck and it isn´t nothing important. And I´m happy for you! If you don´t have any problem with your tendons or bones it´s the best notice. In a few days you are riding other time. Now this next two days on the sofa.
Oh, bad news there mate. So sorry to hear that, David. I hope you recover asap. I know what enduro and hard riding means to you, but please be always careful when practicing it. I feel lucky not to enjoy going fast on unpaved terrain. Otherwise I would probably hurt myself too many times unpaved is hazardous terrain mate. How are you today? You feel better?. It´s not the first day after an accident the worst one, but the days to come I hope it´s not your case. You can count on me whatever you may need from a biker colleague,. I´m in Madrid again for a few days I was going to show you some of the mountain bike they practice in Karlsruhe, as requested from Armentano, but I think I lost the card in which those photos are So I´m afraid I can´t. Never mind, Spanish mountain biking is similar if not better than that practicing in Germany. No doubt about it. At least it is the same level. Cheers.
Glad you're back in town interaptor, even if just for a few days. Actually, looks like I underestimated the seriousness on my injury because I still haven't been back on my bike, and certainly won't this weekend either. I'll spare you the details, but suffice it to say that I'm going back to the doctor's tomorrow. I hope that if I really really take care of it this weekend it'll get better, and maybe I'll be able to get around without a crutch. Can't wait to get better and back on my bike.
I see. This is really a pain in the neck. It takes longer time than expected to get better after doctor´s 1st. examination. I know it´s great weather out there but now it´s time for you to rest. Since it doesnt seem you are too injured you will soon be able to return to riding. So it´s a tv or a radio or a pc weekend for you!. Not bad at all, you can always be in touch with bikes but not riding them for now Hope good news from doc and this won´t take too long.
Actually I have to work a bit on Friday and Saturday afternoon, but the rest of the weekend I'm going to REALLY take it easy. I'm planning on watching lots of movies on TV, and sitting in front of the computer as well. So did you check out the mountain biking over there in Germany?
Hi Chainring and Interaptor! Firstly! I wish chainring be well as soon as posible . Don´t worry if you need some days stopped, you will have got a lot of weekend for mountain biking and it´s better for you with this kind of pain. I can tell you this because with the racing bike I fell two years ago and I didn´t stop (I was stupid)and for this reason this pain it was with me during six months more. It´s better two weeks more on the sofa than three months riding with the pain. Secondly! Don´t worry Interaptor if you don´t put the pictures only I wish you can found the card, I was interested because I would like to see how it´s mountain biking in other country. Just today I saw some people from Belgium riding here in Santa Pola near the sea there are a lot of foreigners riding here now there are a lot of climate differents on this part of the year with his country. This weekend it´s too large and I´m going to ride here in Alicante with my mountain bike and Sunday and Monday in Murcia with the racing bike I will go to Sierra Espuña in this travel and if I up "El Berro" I would like to take some pictures it´s one of my favourites places . Happy large weekend for all! Pd: Sorry for my english
