Yeah, sounds good to me, and we'd better get going while the getting's good, might actually rain on Saturday and Sunday. I imagine Juan Carlos will be coming along too, so maybe we'll do Guadalix or La Pedriza.

FOG MENACE ahead: Due to length and possible foggy weather, Tomorrow´s ride is conditional. We depend on fair weather. In order to avoid fog we should check the weather out in advance before going for any ride.

I've never been so insulted in my life. There's absolutely no way I'd ride a hybrid bike.

Many hopes will be dashed -to pieces- as it´s Armstrong turn to explain his ultimate greater ignominious defeat, the illegality of his actions on the Oprah´s show. He brought shame on the cycling not so good name. And I meant it. Not so good cycling name. Let´s be clear on this: If he doped, someone else knows the truth cause he´d have needed some help in dosing, in administering and deciding everything on the fly to avoid test and to prevent testers from coming up. A hugh amount of money was at stake. Cheaters are not sportsmen just twister bussiness men.

A truly twister organization... But let´s also be clear on this and not be so naive when we see how everything´s goin´on: Armstrong is not the only cheater in the world. The relentless effort from Armstrong´s most ruthless enemy to prove their charges right, USADA, and almost everyone on the cycling world now appears to know that illegal performance enhancing drugs or illegal methods were well spread among the peloton. Sad, very sad.

Furthermore, I´ve just made a quick research about enhanced drugs for amateurs and man!, you can get muscle booster, testosterone, legal or illegal anabolic muscle bodybuilding, high potentiator, hardcore performance, I mean the magic pill at just 11.50 euros a pack!. Certainly Armstrong is not the only one. Anyone can get it. In fact they got it so good that after years and years ofC complaining about doping, they almost got away with it. Many others did we presume.

    Looking forward watching Oprah show.

    Cheers!

I dont think the impact is that high, an awful lot of people knew/suspected he was a cheat. In general, I wouldnt worry about the amateur drug-takers, they know their "achievements" are artificial and I'm sure cant feel any genuine satisfaction. I probably get more real satisfaction from grunting up a big hill with a hangover. I have to say though, I've never taken much interest in cycling as a competitive sport, It's just something I do,

Anyway, any of you lot use strava? Be interesting to see what you get up to, this is me...

Mackem, You´ve a good point there.

Thanks for the bike logger page. Didn´t hear of it. Sounds like a good one.

Yeah! You can´t deny it is YOU. The scent of your Xmas trip has been fully registered... ;-) Watch out for feb13 body progression!

I presume these drugs are illegal so I'm surprised they're so available. So can you send me a link...? ha ha ha.

This is the first I've heard of it. Sounds like it'd be especially good for cross country riders and fitness freaks, and people getting in shape and taking off a few pounds. I suppose you need a Garmin type GPS for this.

Looks like now you have to follow the curve Interaptor drew for you, so start pedaling!

Today I went to Hoyo de Manzanares.

    Jan 13, 2013 downhill looking at camera.JPG

It was pretty cold but really not so bad compared to riding in thick fog, or in rain or snow (there was a 65% chance of snow). Actually it did start snowing when we were putting our bikes in our cars, so we were lucky!

Yeah, freezing cold out there but a nice tiny photo!!! ;-)

Ops! I did find it on Ebay, it was an ad from a Co. located in southern Madrid, but when I try to look it up again, can´t find it.
Maybe these ads are banned but remain visible on the internet for a while until someone take them off... I promise I saw the magic pill at 11.50 euros.
Anyway, take this samples as an evidence of the cheaper pill I saw. These are from english firms, english headquarters, or at least from english traders:

Chainring - it works on smart phones too. Android and iphone. You can just enter your rides manually too, if you want. I find it a useful reminder that I need to get out, trying to average 200km per week this year. I rode on Saturday, so I've started again for this year. The awful weather doesnt help much though.

I usually do +-80 kmts per ride on my roadie and half the distance on my MTB. 200 kmts/week is not a bad average as an aim to get in shape. How do you like road riding comparing to your well known passion for mountain biking?

I like road riding, it's a lot easier to get a nice ride in during the week on the road than mtbing. Weekends are for mtbing (in general).

    Hi again guys.

I agree it's a shame all of that related to doping, but I'm afraid that's something even more common than we expect, and of course, he's not the only one. As time goes by I realize that the ones who really enjoy sport in general are the people that only play for leisure, like us. When you try to be someone in the pro world (no matter what sport we are talking about) lots of dreams and ideals fall off.

About roading or trailing I consider safety a Paramount, so I prefer to ride only sandy trails, avoiding to ride thinking about how close that car passed me. That's why I've recently become a Bkool proud user. It's not what I expect when I ride, but at least I can ride when it's raining or when I arrive late at home.

    ¡Hala! Yo también tengo Tapatalk.
