Tengo una chaqueta Gabba de las primeras que salieron en color verde fluor. La cuestión es que justo el dia que la estrené fui unos 40 km con la grupeta bajo un chaparrón de justicia y se comportó muy bien. Posteriormente observé que esa supuesta impermeabilidad se había perdido, de manera que si la pongo bajo el grifo y le hecho unas gotas de agua directamente cala. Recuerdo que se vendía como la chaqueta de agua de los pro y por eso la compré pero fue un poco decepcionante y casi no la he usado. Más bien creo que debía llevar aplicado algún producto que la hacía hidrófuga pero en el momento que se le fue dejó de serlo. Debería aplicarle uno de estos productos para volver a tener chaqueta impermeable. Me da pena tenerla en el fondo del cajón muerta de asco. Saludos
Despues de un lavado tienes que aplicar un producto impermeabilizante en forma de spray, hay diferentes marcas.
Castelli te lo recuerda en su web... What should I do when my Castelli softshell jacket starts to absorb water? Castelli softshell jackets are treated with a durable water-repellant (DWR) finish. The DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated, allowing moisture to escape without becoming trapped. Without care, the DWR finish will lose its effectiveness over time. To maintain your product's DWR finish, make sure the garment has been cleaned properly. Dirt and other contaminates will block the micropores in the outer fabric through which moisture can escape. If your product is new or recently re-waterproofed, the DWR finish will be revitalized just from cleaning. Once the garment has been thoroughly worn, you will need to restore the water-resistant finish. Make sure the garment is clean, then put it in the dryer at low heat for about 20 minutes, or by ironing under low heat, being careful not to melt the synthetic fibers of your garment. If this doesn't work, you may want to re-treat your Castelli product’s water repellency by applying a commercially available water-repellent spray-on DWR treatment by following these instructions: Make sure the garment has been cleaned properly and is dry. Lay the garment out flat and spray the entire outer shell with the water-repellent finish, holding the bottle 15 cm from the surface. Allow the water-repellent finish to soak in for 10-15 minutes. Wipe off excess water-repellent finish with a damp cloth. Check carefully to make sure no areas have been missed. Remember, the garment will not become waterproof, but it will take longer for water to penetrate the outer fabric. We recommend spray-on finishes (such as Nikwax SoftShell Proof™ and McNette) rather than wash-in finishes as it will affect the moisture management.
Hasta donde yo tenía entendido las propiedades de las GABBA. Era que evitaban la entrada de agua hasta el punto donde el material GORE Infinium lo permitía por sus propiedades .. por lo que tarde o temprano según la intensidad de agua, absorbe el agua y entra. Unos cuantos si Depende luego de que jabón uses para lavarlas y demás, pero a mí el otoño-invierno me lo aguanta
teneis link del producto?. que ya de paso le hecharia a las chaquetillas de goretex.. que se empapan solo con estornudar.
la gabba no es impermeable. es cortavientos. pero le ponen tratamiento para que tenga repelencia al agua, costuras termoselladas y cremallera especial para que tolere cierta cantidad de agua. la membrana de las ultimas versiones es goretex infinium windstopper. antes era gore windstopper. la repelencia al agua, que se pierde con el uso, se pueden en teoria restaurar con productos como los de nikwax. ojo, serían los productos para softshell, como lo es la gabba. tienen en spray y jabon. https://www.nikwax.com/es-es/products/softshell-proof-wash-in/ https://www.nikwax.com/es-es/products/softshell-proof-spray-on/ los productos nikwax txdirect son para prendas realmente impermeables, como el goretex a secas y sus derivados active shell, paclite,...) https://www.nikwax.com/es-es/products/tx-direct-wash-in/ https://www.nikwax.com/es-es/products/tx-direct-spray-on/ la única excepción es goretex shakedry que no pierde repelencia porque va en el propio tejido y no hay que usar jamas estos productos con el.
