Oh! Didn´t know all those trail names such as El Palomero and Los Peraltes!. In fact, I Know that area mostly by car, not by MTB yet. That photo was taken in one of the “Campode Tiro Somontes”´s parking lot. It turns out I discovered a new entrance (at least for me) to get there by bike... Just from behind, the other way around from where I used to get there by car... I´m really happy to have discovered such that entrance because I like that place and the views from there!

Yeah, after aprox. 50 Kilometres no mud on my wheels!!! I didn´t have to wash my bike. Less work and more pleasure!!!

I´m glad to know it didn´t rain in Cercedilla when you were “at work”. You´ve really got the bike to have a blast given such that conditions!!!. Happy to Know it.

Jorge... Your beloved is on its way to you... The final countdown is close to you.

    Cheers!

Here's a pic from today's ride in Cercedilla, it was taken on a trail called 'La Vejiga'. As you can see I'm in full-on enduro mode with a full-face helmet, hard plastic knee-shin guard and elbow guard. This is from a person with experience falling and who knows how important all this is from first-hand experience.

Also notice the fog in the background: a wintery day, but as I said, luckily we missed the rain.

Wow! La Vejiga trail? As seen on the photo that´s not a bike trail, mate. I mean not trail biking at all what you´re doin´. That´s rock biking for real enduro bikes. Real dirt biking.
Your protective clothes make you seem as if you were from outer space, but judging by this picture, the way to go safe and aware onto the rocks. Coool! :chinchin

The first I heard of La Vejiga was last Sunday with the good people from 7picos. If you think you might like to taste 'The Dark Side', you should go on a ride with them, tho it's helpful if you have a Darth Vader outfit, not to mention an enduro bike.

In any case, you know in Cercedilla you go up la carretera de la República to get to Fuenfría. On the way up you pass the Vicente Aleixandre lookout. You keep going for about a half a kilometer until you get to a fairly flat area and then turn right. There you go along a fairly conventional trail for a few hundred meters until you get to La Vejiga. Here's a video of the tricky sections.

If you like we can go for a ride there together sometime, but to be honest I don't know the area that well. I mean, I've been on the Carril del Gallo, one of the Veredas, I think Vereda de Enmedio, the Marichiva trail, and La Vejiga. There are all sorts of good trails there and I'd like to get to know all of them.

Previous to any question about La Vejiga you forgot to ask Jorge if he´s up for real macho-man enduro biking. ;-)

The guy in the vid is doing the macho man stuff. I mean, in the really complicated sections there's no shame in hoofing it.

Yeah, I'm like a linguistic Clint Eastwood. I mean, there's no two ways about it, I just ain't nice. I mean, I could use more basic vocabulary here but I'd feel I'd disappoint you, ha ha.

Yeah, I think I'm entering a period of linguistic decadence, I shure aint no intelechual.

There's Jorge surfing right on that linguistic edge. What that sh*t mean anyway?

After googling Nacho Vidal I now fully comprehend the depth of your envy.

We all have our vices, shameful and unspeakable, ha ha

A little explanation of a schemie... smone -usually a boy but there´re plenty of girls too who lives in council estates, whose incomes become from the dole and who spoilt their lives shuffling on the streets messing around. They wear branded sporty clothes, their trouser´s bottoms´tucked into socks, hoodies, caps and all that stuff......Add it a little bit of psychopathy and there ´s your schemie! known as Neds on the Western Coast? of Scotland and as chavs in England...

you get me done.... mean you ownned us.. you´ve beaten me bad....in a Jock way anyway

while watching the vid i can see how our star got away alive of a really dangerous double steep in a row, congratulations lad!

Wow! Funny linguistic phenomena in Jorge´s mind can occur under the influence of a sip of Glennfiddich´s. You should try your pearl before a bike race!!! :) ;-)

Have you ever noticed that enduro riders always have tons of photos of their rides, whereas it's pretty slim pickings with the cross country crowd? That's because enduro riders stop at the technical sections and get out their camaras. I suppose XC riders are too busy pedaling for that stuff.

So here's another one from last Sunday.

sure! by the way you're dealing with slang aren't you? The truth is that you enduro riders don't care about carrying 200 more grams on your backs, whilst we the xc lassies are pretty aware of every gram :D

That's a good point. It's almost like you're backpacking on a bike, ha ha. I think I'll start packing a tent and sleeping bag with me just in case I break down out in the middle of nowhere :meparto
