come on teach us useful stuff!! we all see his boldness so far.... promise to finish watching it, i'm laughing into stitches
Somehow someway I´ve managed to slightly bend the seatpost on my Trailrock. It´s really not big deal for Berg Cycles as I emailed Seginho on the matter and got prompt response to change it on warranty. Not-so-large Company, but again great commitment involved in getting satisfaction to customers. Love this way of doing things.:aplauso2
I think I can but we'll have to meet up a bit early, like 9:00, so I can get back in time for work. lol, I'm in stitches! Ricky Gervais is hilarious, tho haven't had time to watch all of it. Like.
Had a fun ride today in El Pardo with Jorgt and his friend Jorge. We hit all the usual spots: mutli-saltos, peraltes, palomar, fast tracks, redbull, arbol seco, and no problem for Jorgt and his namesake. Just hope I didn't slow them down too much, I was pushing pretty hard but I had the feeling for them this was just a leisurely ride in the countryside. But now I'm pleasantly tired, a nice feeling. In any case, the two of them were on really good XC bikes. Jorge was trying out his new bike today and I was really impressed when he told me it only weighed 9.5 kg, with pedals! I think my road bike weighs about that, maybe a tad less, but his has got front suspension and fatter tires. Amazing! I think it was a Specialized S-works Stumpjumper 29er. Compared to theirs my bike is a frigging tank, but it's great for the jumps, ha ha. Speaking of jumps, Jorgt took a picture of me doing one, and more pictures as well. Hey, you gonna share them, or keep us in suspense? I think today Jorgt also had a little appointment with the redbull run, where he fell last time. Well, he today he was a Spanish conquistador and flew the victory flag! Yay Jorge!! Someday I'm going to have to take Jorge up on his invitation to ride with him in Alcalá, I was surprised when they said they found el Pardo easier than their home turf. All I need is a bike like theirs, and to take off all of my padding and body armor and my backpack, and then I'll whoop their asses! You just wait and see!! Actually, I do have a humble XC bike, maybe I could at least take it, but now I'm used to carrying all sorts of tools and stuff around with me. For example, today my chain broke, again! as I was on my way over to meet them, so I needed a few tools. Jeez, after years of immunity now I'm plagued by broken chains, in fact maybe I'll change my NIC to Broken Chain, ha ha Great seeing you again Jorgt and nice meeting your Jorge :chinchin
hI daVID!!! i'm a man of a word so there it is, our airborne master Mr Chainring!! Nowt' to say though, nice summary you made. Actually it was a sweeeet beautiful morning, a nice spell , i just can show nothing but gratefulness to your keen devotion, hardly ever would i find a better guru.... we both are really delighted, no grassing though!! By the way , don't you ever think that you slowed us, we are not racing, actually i can't follow you so close when plummeting, and i am absolutely pleased to be there staring as you take off, there's so much confidence in you!! 'for being a west coast guy, you know what i mean..... XD XD XD So well, we had a great time and i hope it was so good for you as it was for us..... and we want you whipping our asses asap, but round our place !!
I'm back here!!! I should have taken a boat instead of a car with us to Portugal... Oh boy!!! Nonstop raining, and as I have read, here it's been even worse. So I guess more hometraining for me... And soccer, obviously!!! I'm now watching Paris-Roubaix, one of my favorite races (I also love Tirreno-Adriático!) and there're some butterflies in my stomach... What a wonderful summer holidays will it be But, is it safe to trave by plane with the bikes??? Bout Portugal,we have just found out how, my parents love Portugal too, so they'll be our "team car" xDDD I know, I'm a pain in the ass xDD Cheers people! btw, you can find me and y bike in Twitter @La_Becaria
Hi David, Thanks to do a guide-track in Pardo, was my first time there, and also my first time with my new bike. Very nice tour, very fun (not funny ) and good company. Perfect morning! I hope to see you again soon, maybe Alcala to show you our terrain. Nice to meet you, and see you soon! Bye
Wow! The thread is on fire!. I´ve to read my ass off to keep up to date. Sounds like not only Jorge but his band from Alcala is pretty competent on a bike, and that customize, personalized maillot with the "Las Mañanas Complutenses, rompiendo el Henares" words in it is so cool... I´m torn between which one is cooler, the black and blue or the red and white one!. Man you really do things in style there in Alcala!... And yeah! Almendritas´ new bike is a niner!. My God, sooner or later, better sooner than later, every other bike out there will be a niner. Sorry to hear that the rain dampened your vacation, Red. Hope you were able to visit some of the indoor hometrainers of your area! ;-). I do love Paris-Roubaix and the mystic of the race. Didn´t miss how Cancellara is not using his stealth-powered electric bike this year!!!. He won but, yeah, ended up dying from!!! ;-) Cheers!
All right, Jorge! Thanks for the pics! Haven't seen them till now. Had to be a good boy last night and go to bed early so I could get up at the crack of dawn this morning, and go to the Sierra! Yay! It was nice riding with you, and congratulations again on your bike. By the way, if you get tired of it, feel free to lend it to me, ha ha ha. Hi Red! Well, a good thing you didn't take your bike with you to Portugal. Today I went for a ride in the Sierras, started off in Navalafuente. It was a good ride, and it was nice not having to worry about rain, but there's still plenty of mud out there. In fact, we sometimes followed little streams downhill, so maybe we should've gone rafting, ha ha. Personally don't know much about travelling in planes with bikes. Yay Fabián Cancellara! Hey, Interaptor! What's up?
Notta lotta!. Today I mountain-biked 75 kmts to complete the V.-Castle ring. Don´t wanna overlook how nice the day was!!!. The weather is getting better, going to turn even nicer this very week! ;-)
Oh, so you know your way around Soto de Viñuelas now? In any case, being Sunday morning and a nice day, I'm sure there were plenty of people around to ask in case you lost your way. Nice picture!
Not that bad, we are really use to it, it's part of the fun... Same thing last december in Lisbon, and the year before in Galicia, and got lost in Fuente Dé "walking/climbing" up "El Cable" but not using the cable car... yes, the word you were searching is "jerks" what a lovely couple xDDD but indeed quite happy we didn't take the bikes, but we will as we saw lots of people riding up Bom Jesus in Braga and other nice places for MTB I saw a pic in Twitter from Bola del Mundo covered in snow!!! Beautiful!!! But still too girly for that, and my mom probably would kill me if I'd appear at home so muddy... But I can't wait for spring to come, and start my routine: Fuenfría, Jarosa, Abantos, Morcuera, Navacerrada, Valsaín and wherever we may go... And if I get to discover a safe way to carry the bikes with us, more biking. Also I'm looking for a carrier for our luggage, hoping that somebody started up a business like it xDDD Oh man!! Love that Spartan!!! Although the belgian made him a hell of a race!!! Pity about Boonen and Sagan, it would have been an even more amazing ride!! I like that thread it's so active we are all coming out from our freezers
Yes, I think I now know . You´re right, plenty of people around on Sunday but to save time on my bike I took a principle and made it a rule: just assumed I knew everything, no need to ask!!!. All rigth... Like Red says you have to be Urkel Jerks to get lost there ;-) Anyway Jerks is not the word when you get caught in the rain, RED. In a positive thinking way it would be lazy to check the weather forecast or maybe cheapskate by not buying a good raincoat... Notice how we, at all cost, are trying to protect your reputation!. ;-)
That´s not fair! Almendritas and you are running on T-bone steak while Chain -720 kgs. on his back- runs only on the green stuff... Mackem failed to run on chorizo ;-)
Nah, we got lost in "fuente Dé" because we were too lazy to go back on the trail we were walking when we found it was more than difficult to keep on walking, and we hadn't got ropes to climb (as the path ended there and started the rocky part, we should have climbed the wall...) and we decided that we looked more alike goats than people... in fact I had some nice pics of mountain goats with us... but at some point my feet almost weren't able to stay steady on the "path" I have never ever been so thankful when I got to the peak! And after "walking" for hours we run like hell as soon as we so people and took the cable car down the hill xDDD (we thought we were gonna be late for taking the cable car and would have to spend the night up in Fuente Dé... then, yes, the word is total Jerks... nevermind the reputation, we are funny people xDD
LOL yeah, it´s funny and as for jerks If you say it with honest entusiasme and sincerity, never be wrong!!! ;-) tho I have a more explicit concept of people acting like jerks ;-)
Hi folks! So Red, sounds like you had a bit of a scare on Fuente Dé, glad you didn't have to spend the night there. Funny pic, Inter, and yeah, the word 'jerk' does seem to describe him in that photo, but she is pretty, isn't she? ha ha. I'm having some mechanical trouble with my bottom bracket on my Rallon, there's a lot of play there, maybe it's already shot, tho the bike in only 11 months old. Well, I'll look at it a bit more tomorrow. Hey, Wadecollins24, are you there? How was Ojén?
